PRISM PlioMIP PlioMIP 2011 meeting

The PRISM mid-Piacenzian reconstruction has been formatted for use in PlioMIP Experiments 1 (AGCM) and 2 (AOGCM) and is available using the links below. Please view the protocols and notes for these experiments before downloading packages of data.

The PRISM reconstruction is presented on a 2° x 2° fractional land grid. All cells with land or fractional amounts of land have topography and vegetation. All cells with ocean or fractional amounts of ocean have sea surface temperatures (SST). Sea ice is designated by SST = -1.8°C.

The reconstruction is presented in a preferred version where the coastline has been adjusted for a 25m sea level rise and in an alternate version where all data are projected onto modern geography (for those models that may not be able to change the land-sea mask).

Accessory files are available in the Accessory area toward the bottom of this page. If additional data are required, contact us.
