Sediment Sources and Delivery to Pocomoke Sound, Maryland

Preliminary results from Pocomoke Sound, Maryland indicate that most recent sediments have been deposited in the deep part of the Sound, with little sediment accumulation near the river mouth.   Increased rates of sediment flux to the Sound occurred between 1950 and 1980; subsequent reductions probably reflect changes in land-use practices.
