This DVD includes the following data structure.

DIRECTORY

GEO_DD
	This directory includes .tif and .tfw files for each 1:200,000 - scale Soviet General Staff 
	topographic map sheet. These raster data sets are projected in Geographic Coordinate System 
	(GCS) coordinates.
		Reference Source:
			 Military Topographic Directorate of the General Staff, 
                		Soviet General Staff Topographic Maps, Afghanistan,  
                		1:200,000, Moscow, VTU GSh, 1985-1991.

INDEX_MAPS
	Four Index maps in .pdf format:
		1.  Index_Geo_DD - map showing all Russian 1:200,000 - scale quadrangles in 
		    Afghanistan projected in GCS coordinates.
		2.  Index_UTM_Z41 - map index of all quadrangles that fall into UTM Zone 41.
		3.  Index_UTM_Z42 - map index of all quadrangles that fall into UTM Zone 42.
		4.  Index_UTM_Z43 - map index of all quadrangles that fall into UTM Zone 43.
		
MAP_LEGEND
	A .pdf file of the Soviet Topographic Map Symbols to provide information required by 
	the map user when reading the topographic maps.

	Includes four metadata files:
		1.  UTM_Z41_met - metadata for quadrangles projected in UTM Zone 41.

		3.  UTM_Z43_met - metadata for quadrangles projected in UTM Zone 43.
		4.  Geo_DD_met - metadata for quadrangles projected in GCS Coordinates.

		1.  index_wgs84 - Index grid of quadrangles projected in GCS coordinates.
