FY 2011
The primary goals for the USGS PRISM group during FY11 are to facilitate model groups interested in the Pliocene Model Intercomparison Project (PlioMIP), expanding the USGS SST data set, and expanding the PRISM3D Validation data sets while designing the PRISM4 Reconstruction.
Specific elements of our work plan include:
- Finish new multiproxy analysis of Pacific Ocean sites.
- Finish faunal analysis of Indian Ocean sites.
- Continue analysis of high latitude Pacific sites in collaboration with Brown University.
- Continue analysis of the USGS mid-Piacenzian topography and river routing data set.
- Continue evaluation of PlioMIP Phase I model experiments.
- Continue model experiments with the Sellwood Group at Leeds.
- Continue Alkenone SST work with Brown University.
- Continue Mg/Ca paleothermometry with UT Austin.
- Continue MART analyses with University of Leicester and BGS.
- Initiate new multiproxy analysis of North and South Atlantic Sites.
